Refund & Authorization Hold Policy

Floweret MD is committed to transparent, patient-centered care for Texas Compassionate Use Program evaluations. This policy explains how authorization holds, charges, cancellations, no-shows, and eligibility determinations are handled.

Floweret MD provides medical evaluations and follow-up support for qualified Texas patients under the Texas Compassionate Use Program. Floweret MD does not sell cannabis products and does not operate as a dispensary.


Authorization Hold Policy

Floweret MD may place an authorization hold on the patientโ€™s payment method before the scheduled evaluation.

An authorization hold is not a completed charge. It temporarily verifies that the payment method is valid and that funds are available.

Floweret MD only captures payment when:

  • the patient completes the evaluation; and
  • the patient qualifies under Texas law; and
  • a prescription is entered into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas, also known as CURT.

If the patient does not complete the visit, cancels, misses the appointment, or does not qualify, Floweret MD releases or voids the authorization hold.


Risk-Free Eligibility Policy

Floweret MD offers a risk-free eligibility policy.

If you complete your evaluation and the physician determines that you are not eligible for a Texas Compassionate Use Program prescription, Floweret MD will not capture the authorization hold.

If a charge has already been captured in error, Floweret MD will refund the payment.

Floweret MD only keeps payment when a patient qualifies and a prescription is entered into CURT.


Cancellations

If you cancel your appointment before completing the evaluation, Floweret MD will release or void the authorization hold.

If a charge has already been captured in error, Floweret MD will refund the payment.

We understand that schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help.


No-Show Policy

If you miss your appointment and do not complete the evaluation, Floweret MD will release or void the authorization hold.

If a charge has already been captured in error, Floweret MD will refund the payment.

You are welcome to reschedule if you still wish to be evaluated.


Rescheduling

Patients may reschedule an appointment if needed.

If you reschedule and later complete the evaluation, the standard authorization hold and risk-free eligibility policy applies.

If you reschedule but later decide not to continue with the evaluation, the authorization hold will be released or voided.


When Payment Is Captured

Payment is generally captured only after:

  • the evaluation is completed;
  • the patient qualifies under Texas Compassionate Use Program requirements; and
  • the physician enters a prescription into CURT.

Once a qualifying prescription has been entered into CURT, the medical service has been completed, and the payment is generally non-refundable.


When Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds are generally not available once:

  • the patient qualifies under Texas law; and
  • a prescription is entered into CURT.

Refunds are also not provided because of issues outside Floweret MDโ€™s control, including:

  • dispensary product pricing;
  • dispensary product availability;
  • delivery or pickup delays;
  • dispensary policies;
  • a patient deciding not to fill or use the prescription after it has been entered;
  • expectation of a physical medical marijuana card, since Texas does not issue physical cards;

Dispensary and Product Disclaimer

Floweret MD is a medical clinic. We do not sell, dispense, ship, or deliver cannabis products.

Licensed Texas dispensaries are separate businesses. Floweret MD is not responsible for:

  • product availability;
  • product pricing;
  • delivery or pickup timing;
  • dispensary policies;
  • payment issues with dispensaries;
  • product effects or satisfaction with a specific dispensary product.

Once a patient qualifies and a prescription has been entered into CURT, refunds are not provided based on dispensary-related issues.


Legal and Employment Disclaimer

Floweret MD cannot guarantee any legal, employment, probation, housing, school, custody, travel, firearm, or third-party outcome related to participation in the Texas Compassionate Use Program.

Refunds are not provided because a patient, employer, court, probation officer, school, landlord, family member, or other third party does not accept or understand Texas Compassionate Use Program documentation.

Patients should consult an attorney for legal questions.


Promotional Pricing and Discounts

Floweret MD may offer limited-time discounts, promotional pricing, or special offers.

Promotional offers may change or end at any time.

Discounts generally cannot be applied retroactively to previously completed visits unless Floweret MD chooses to do so as a courtesy.


Release of Authorization Holds

When an authorization hold is released or voided, the timing of when funds become available again depends on the patientโ€™s bank, card issuer, or payment processor.

Floweret MD does not control how long a bank or payment processor takes to remove a pending authorization from a patientโ€™s account.


Processing Refunds

If a payment is captured in error or a refund is approved, the refund will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Refund processing time may vary depending on the payment processor, bank, or credit card company.


Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment or authorization hold, please contact Floweret MD first so we can review the issue and help resolve it.

Because Floweret MD releases authorization holds for cancellations, no-shows, and patients who do not qualify, we encourage patients to contact us directly before submitting a chargeback.


Changes to This Policy

Floweret MD may update this Refund & Authorization Hold Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
